Zak Group is hiring a Midweight–Senior Graphic Designer (Freelance). At Zak Group, the designer will work with people, institutions and brands guiding the trajectory of contemporary culture.

The Designer should have the ability to conceptualize design proposals, create logos, logotypes, design systems, brand tone/imagery and style guides for client projects. Experience with 2D motion graphics and 3D animations is preferred.

The candidate is self-motivated, creative, well-organized and enthusiastic about how culture, brands and communities can intersect. The position reports to the Director and Operations Manager and will work closely with other team members, clients and external suppliers.

This is a project-based, freelance position. All candidates will be encouraged to be on-site at the Zak Group office in London.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 3+ years of graphic design experience (digital and print) at a creative studio/agency
  • Collaborates with the Director to respond to client briefs and develop design proposals
  • Conceptualises and executes brand identity projects, including the creation of symbols, logos, logotypes, lettering, form-making and illustration
  • Leads the development of visual mood boards and brand tone/imagery
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be able to create clearly structured presentations to articulate concepts and design approaches for clients
  • Works on all aspects of a project’s management, including costing, budgeting and scheduling to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard
  • Casts additional freelance creative collaborators across disciplines depending on project needs
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates that have experience combining visual design with 2D and 3D animation and motion graphics
