We have designed and developed the website of Dyvik Kahlen Architects which produces new associations between the office’s projects. An aleatory selection of projects is loaded each time the home page is refreshed, creating serendipitous, formal and conceptual connections between buildings, exhibitions and proposals. Project pages are conceived as long scrolls which privilege process and give the user freedom to choose content. Drawings, photographs and sketches can be enlarged in a full screen pop-over. In addition to news and practice pages the website also includes a sortable spreadsheet-like index which lists projects by name, completion date, location, type and size. The fully responsive website scales fluidly between smartphone, tablet and desktop devices. The backend utilises a highly flexible content management system that allows for an intuitive page authoring experience. Pages can be easily customised to suit the individual needs of each project.
